Description

Lounge/Dining room:

With a large light bow window, the room is divided into two. It has fitted carpets throughout, and in the front half a comfortable fabric 3 piece suite and extra easy chair, television and DVD player. Within the space behind the lounge there is a large dining table and 6 chairs. The room also has a CD player.

Kitchen:

The kitchen is bright and airy. It has the gas central heating boiler here with a gas cooker hob and electric oven. There is also a refrigerator and dishwasher. The kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils and has crockery and cutlery for 6 people according to the Tourist Board requirements for a 3* property.

Utility room:

The utility room has access to the courtyard. It has a washing machine, drying rack, iron and ironing board and cleaning equipment.

Shower room:

With a shower, hand basin and W.C

Large Bedroom:

The Master bedroom has a fitted carpet throughout. It has 3ft twin beds with duvets and pillows, a wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Middle Bedroom:

There are 3ft size twin beds with duvets and pillows, a wardrobe and a dressing table.

Small Bedroom:

The small bedroom is approached through middle room. It has 3ft bunk beds with duvets, pillows and a wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is also an airing cupboard in here.

Bathroom:

The bathroom has a bath, hand basin and W.C.

Duvets and pillows are provided but no other linen except by special arrangements.

Bed linen and towels can be hired for an extra cost of £5.00 per person.

Exterior

There is a secure garage and the property is gated, securing it from the road.

There is room for two cars in the courtyard garden, or if you would prefer to park on Back Westgate, then this space is good for playing out or for dining - an outside table and chairs is provided.

Accessibility

Exterior: Flat concrete courtyard with one step into the house. There is a wooden five bar gate with a side pedestrian gate (not illustrated.) Yellow lines on the road outside help to prevent parking which may block the access. There is room for two cars in the courtyard (one behind the other) and a locked garage opposite the gate.

Ground Floor: All on one level with no steps.

Hall: Carpet Runner. Doors into lounge and kitchen.

Kitchen: Vinyl floor-covering through utility room and shower room. Sink with double taps and draining board. Low level integral dishwasher and refrigerator. Microwave on worktop. Gas cooker hob and low level integral electric oven. Table and four chairs. ( extra chairs in utility room).

Utility Room: Sink with draining board, Cleaning materials, washing machine. A rack to hang clothes and potential for an outside clothesline.

Shower Room: All on the same level, there is a walk-in shower, W.C. and handbasin. This is off the utility room. There is a wall-mounted electric fan heater.

Lounge: Fitted carpet. Comfortable seating for 6 people, dining table and six chairs. TV and DVD with remote control. There is an open fireplace with potential for a coal/wood fire. No fuel is provided. Gas central heating.

The Staircase: Goes off the lounge at the rear. There is a large platform step at the base, then 13 stairs straight upstairs.

Upstairs: is flat throughout, with fitted carpets in the bedrooms and vinyl floorcovering in the bathroom. There are twin 3ft beds in the main bedroom, chest of drawers and wardrobe.

Middle Bedroom: Also twin 3ft beds with touch base bedside lights. Through this bedroom is the small bedroom with 3ft bunk beds. This room also houses the hot water tank and the airing cupboard.

The Bathroom: is at the top of the stairs. There is an ordinary bath, washbasin and W.C.

There are no extra handrails.
If possible, please arrive after 2.00 pm and vacate by 11.00 am on departure. Domestic help is usually available at an extra charge.

The keys are obtainable from Grebe House 27 Westgate, Hornsea (nearby) - this is the second house on the right entering Hornsea from Beverley (B1244).

Please leave the premises clean and tidy as you will find them.

The local Co-op supermarket opens from 8.00 am until 10.00 pm every day except Sundays ( 10.00 am until 4.00 pm ).

About Hornsea

Hornsea is renowned as a quiet location, suitable for family holidays. It is a seaside town which boasts a mile of promenade, extensive sandy beach.

The South Beach has gained the awards for cleanliness, while the North Beach is a haven for walkers. Beach and boat fishermen alike will enjoy this location. Coarse fishermen are also catered for.

Once famous for its pottery, Hornsea now has a thriving designer shopping outlet Hornsea Freeport www.hornseafreeport.com in its place.

The award winning and fascinating Hornsea Museum www.hornseamuseum.com reflects the changing patterns of village life and also houses the national reference collection of Hornsea Pottery.
There is a new Leisure Centre with a traditional swimming pool, fitness suite and facilities normally found in much larger towns.

Hornsea Mere is a haven for local bird life and bird watchers. It is the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire and spans across 250 acres. It is a beautiful nature reserve with public footpaths all around the perimeter . Rowing, motorboat rides, snacks, fishing and birdwatching can all be found at Kirkholme Point on the East bank of the Mere.

Honeysuckle Farm, Hornsea Golf Club, Wassand Hall, are well worth exploring and days out to Flamborough, Bempton, Bridlington, Hull, Beverley, and York will ensure that whatever the weather your stay in Hornsea can be as action packed or relaxing as you choose.

Hornsea has a historic town centre with houses that date back to the 17th Century. As a seaside town, Hornsea boasts a mile of promenade with a shingle and sandy beach.

More centrally, amid the busy streets lies a converted farmhouse, hosting the folk museum showing lives of the town folk from over 100 years ago.(www.hornseamuseum.com)

As well as the pottery (which closed in 2000), Hornsea is also famous for its Mere. It is the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire and spans across some 250 acres. It is a great nature reserve for many birds and other wildlife.

Hornsea Freeport offers designer clothing and accessories. The Leisure Centre has a great full sized swimming pool, squash courts, sauna and steam rooms.
