Cycling holidays

Why not take your cycling holidays in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland where the bicycle was first invented. The National Byway provides the opportunity to retrace the roots of the first pedal cycle to Keir Mill, where Kirkpatrick Macmillan first invented it.

If an Off road challenge for your cycling holidays appeals, then make sure you take time to visit 5 of the 7stanes! Located at Ae, Mabie, Dalbeattie, Kirroughtree and Glentrool forests, these cycling centres are sure to make you come back for more.

These prices are per week Saturday to Saturday.
A 10% discount is available if two weeks are booked consecutively. Linens will be changed mid stay.

Terms and Conditions

Electric and Gas

These are included in the holiday price however if excessive amounts are used (taking into account the
weather conditions) then we reserve the right to make additional charges.

Damage, loss and breakages

Visitors should report any deficiency they notice on arrival and any which occur during their stay. Where
appropriate, visitors will be liable for cost of replacement of any damages, loss or breakages occurring during
their visit.

Cleaning

The cottage will be thoroughly cleaned before your arrival and visitors are requested to leave it in a similar
condition. We reserve the right to charge if the property is left in an unreasonable condition.

Overstaying

Time is required between visitors in order to prepare the property for the next guests therefore, guests must
vacate the property by 10 a.m on the day of departure. We reserve the right to charge for an additional
nights stay if the property is not vacated by the stated time unless by prior arrangement with the owners.
Occupation of the cottage will be given at 4 p.m on the day of arrival although if you telephone before
setting off we will be able to let you know if you can have earlier entry. However, this is not guaranteed.

Booking

Please telephone first to make a provisional booking then complete and return the enclosed booking form.
Your booking will be held for 3 working days to allow your deposit to reach us. A non-refundable deposit of
£50 per week payable unless your booking is within 28 days of the holiday start date in which case the full amount
is payable. Balance of payment must be received no less than 28 days before the start date of your holiday.
Reminders will not be sent.

Cancellation

Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.

If you do need to cancel then please let us know in writing as soon as possible. We may offer you an
alternative date solely at our discretion but this is without obligation and purely as a good-will gesture.

If we have to cancel we will refund all monies paid unless the reason for the cancellation is beyond our
control such as:

Acts of war, terrorism or criminal action.
Industrial disputes, riots, civil commotion.
Natural disasters (e.g. earthquake, flood, volcanic eruption, tidal wave, storm)
Epidemic of disease in humans or animals.
Adverse weather conditions.

Insurance

We do not provide any insurance against cancellation, loss of your deposit or injury while on holiday, and
you should approach your own insurance company.
