Malta

Malta is an ever popular holiday destination for tourists from around the world. Malta itself is just over 300 square kilometres of culture, history and beautiful scenery to explore. Both Maltese and English are commonly spoken and the country is home to a number of world heritage sites such as the stunning Megalithic Templates that are actually the oldest free standing structures in Europe. Many also find the Malta is closely linked with the myth of the lost city of Atlantis. The mid rainy winters and hot dry summers are positively Mediterranean, and the location of Malta makes for two seasons rather than four making it a perfect tourist destination. Snow is virtually unheard of and frost has only ever been recorded once in modern history making Malta something of a haven for sun seekers throughout much of the year.

The nation itself exists as a part of a stunning archipelago, and whilst Malta, Gozo and Comino are populated the other islands remain uninhabited. There are many bays around the coastline that make for some beautiful harbours and stunning beaches, and inland the low hills and fields make for a relaxing afternoon in the sun.
