Malta

Malta is an ever popular holiday destination for tourists from around the world. Malta itself offers a wide variety of different tourist attractions for you to explore at your leisure, and as a member of the European Union visiting Malta could not be easier. It's central location in the middle of the Mediterranean just 93 km from Sicily offers a beautiful climate and the island of Malta is something of a cultural melting pot thanks to it's EU status and location amidst a tremendous variety of different cultures, with Alexandria being just over 1,500 km away, and Tunisia just under 300 km away.

Malta itself is just over 300 square kilometres of culture, history and beautiful scenery to explore. Both Maltese and English are commonly spoken and the country is home to a number of world heritage sites such as the stunning Megalithic Templates that are actually the oldest free standing structures in Europe. Many also find the Malta is closely linked with the myth of the lost city of Atlantis. The mid rainy winters and hot dry summers are positively Mediterranean, and the location of Malta makes for two seasons rather than four making it a perfect tourist destination. Snow is virtually unheard of and frost has only ever been recorded once in modern history making Malta something of a haven for sun seekers throughout much of the year.

The nation itself exists as a part of a stunning archipelago, and whilst Malta, Gozo and Comino are populated the other islands remain uninhabited. There are many bays around the coastline that make for some beautiful harbours and stunning beaches, and inland the low hills and fields make for a relaxing afternoon in the sun. If you want to enjoy a holiday in the sun and want to learn more about the history of this stunning island then there is simply no better place to go. No matter where you stay and what holiday homes you choose you can be sure of receiving a warm welcome and finding a large amount of things to see and do.
