London is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world and as you might expect it is packed full of holiday home rentals for you to enjoy. From luxury boutique hotels through to small bed and breakfasts you can be certain that no matter what your requirements there will be a place for you to stay in London and the surrounding area. Many people offer flats and apartments close to tourist attractions and almost all holiday home rentals are situated within walking distance of a tube station allowing you to get around London with ease.
Although the most popular holiday in London is a weekend break there is so much to see and do that one could easily spend a fortnight exploring all of the sights and sounds and never get bored. Thanks to the excellent bus service and tube underground railway it is very easy to traverse the city for a small fee in order to appreciate the history and culture that the fine city of London has to offer. The number of actual tourist attractions in London is simply mind boggling; from the many museums that are dotted across the area (the most famous of course being the British Museum that is packed with priceless artifacts from around the world) to the British Library there is certainly something to be said for visiting London if you are a history or literature fan.
Another very popular London tourist destination is Buckingham Palace, many flock to the area to witness the ceremonial changing of the guard event that occurs when a member of the royal family is at the residence. The Tower of London is also an excellent destination to visit and one can see the crown jewels of the nation. There are many other famous landmarks like Tower Bridge; a true London icon and must visit destination for any tourist. Why not also check out Madame Tussauds waxworks, and the Globe Theatre? If this all seems rather overwhelming why not participate in a guided tour around the city? This will help you better understand everything that London has to offer and explain more about the history and culture of the city.
