Ireland is a location that is becoming increasingly popular as a tourist destination with many people flocking to the country from around the world to enjoy the beautiful scenery and vibrant night life offered by the many cities. The history of Ireland is complex and intriguing with history being recorded from 8000 B.C.E, and modern history recording how Celtic migration eventually came to fill the island and make up the majority of the populace. Small settlements of Vikings, Normans, Saxons and other tribes added to the diversity and you can learn more about the history of Ireland when you stay there for your holidays.

The temperate oceanic climate of Ireland makes it the perfect destination to visit for many when holidaying, with the temperature being somewhat similar to that in the UK. Extremes of temperatures are quite rare so you can be assured that you will have an excellent chance of being able to enjoy a sunny summer holiday, or cold winter holiday, whichever is your preference! One of the things many people visit Ireland to see is the stunning World Heritage Sites or Skellig Michael, the Giant's Causeway and the Bend of the Boyne. The Burren and Mount Stewart are also incredibly popular tourist destinations and are well worth a visit if you are staying in Ireland. There are many castles and other historic sites to visit such as Blarney Castle, Holy Cross Abbey and Bunratty Castle, and a number of national monuments to explore.

The most popular area with tourists however is Dublin, with many visiting each year to enjoy the attractions such as the Guinness museum and Book of Kells, and also partake in the vibrant, bustling, thriving, cosmopolitan city. Whilst historically Ireland may have not been seen as a major tourist destination it has reinvented itself in recent years and the sheer number of interesting places to visit, things to see, and sights and sounds to partake it have completely changed things. Ireland is a modern, friendly, beautiful place to visit no matter where you stay, and there is something in Ireland for everyone from those enjoying a romantic getaway to families looking for an action packed adventure.
