Andorra
Andorra is a rapidly expanding area for holiday homes with more and more people visiting each year. Andorra itself is a principality, this small nation is a mere 181 square miles large but boasts a tremendous amount to see and do for those staying in holiday homes in the area. One of the main attractions of Andorra is its location, it is nestled between the Pyrenees and shares borders with both Spain and France, offering a beautiful climate to enjoy when staying in holiday homes and other countries to visit whilst holidaying.
The capital of Andorra is Andorra la Vella, another popular destination for those staying in holiday homes who prefer the hustle and bustle of urban life to the quiet, peaceful countryside surroundings offered by much of the country. When staying in the region you will find Catalan is the most widely spoken language although many of Andorra's 85,000 residents are bi or tri-lingual and Spanish, French and Portuguese are also popular. The holiday homes in the country along with the other areas of tourism account for the vast majority of the nations GDP making it an excellent destination to visit; you know you will be very well catered for wherever you choose to stay! Since Andorra adopted the Euro even though they are not a member of the EU holidaying there has never been easier, so why not join almost ten million other tourists and enjoy the sights and sounds of this beautiful nation?
No matter what your ideal holiday homes are you will find something in Andorra that is perfect for your requirements. Thanks to the Pyrenees sitting off to the eastern reaches of the country the terrain is varied with the highest peak sitting at nearly 10,000 feet, a sharp contrast to the lowest point in the nation which sits at just under 3,000 feet near the Valira river. The beautiful forests of Andorra are full of places to see and explore, and 300 days of sunshine each year ensures that you can be almost certain to have many sunny days when staying in holiday homes. Andorra holiday homes are often focused on two different areas of tourism depending on the season; there are many summer and winter only resorts situated in very different areas that can cater to different requirements.
